Union of Independent Trade Unions of Vojvodina

The website of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Vojvodina (SSSV) was designed as a central hub that reflects the mission and ongoing work of the largest trade union organization in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The goal was to create a modern, clear, and functional platform that delivers essential information to over 105,000 members, while reinforcing the SSSV’s role as a strong voice in the fight for workers’ rights, safety, and dignified labor.

Challenges

The primary challenge was organizing a large amount of content and functionalities that a trade union must communicate—ranging from the protection of workers’ rights, territorial and sectoral structures, to membership engagement and syndicate-related news. It was essential to create a structure that allows for quick navigation, a clear content hierarchy, and a technically stable solution that supports frequent updates.

Given the diverse audience—from industrial and public sector employees to union leaders and local representatives—the platform needed to be accessible, easy to navigate, and fully responsive on all devices.

Technologies

The website was built using the WordPress platform, providing a reliable and flexible content management system. WordPress was chosen to empower the editorial team to independently manage updates, publish news, and modify page content without requiring developer assistance.

The Elementor page builder was used to structure and style the website visually, ensuring a clean layout, clear typography, and consistent design throughout the site. The use of custom-designed templates and dynamic widgets enabled the creation of a system that is both scalable and user-friendly.

The Results

The final result is a professional and accessible website that aligns with the SSSV’s values and goals. Users can now easily access key information about union activities, leadership, membership benefits, and contact information.

The site communicates trust and authority, with an improved user experience and a mobile-first design approach. The client can effortlessly manage the content, ensuring timely updates for a highly engaged audience. This project has significantly enhanced the union’s digital presence and improved communication with its members across Vojvodina.
