Their website serves as a visual portfolio, client engagement platform, and brand experience hub—all rolled into one. The goal was to create an elegant, immersive, and fast website that reflects the premium quality of their work and provides an emotional connection with potential clients.

Challenges

One of the main challenges in this project was capturing the emotional and visual essence of Aleksandar Weddings’ brand through the website itself. Since their business revolves around storytelling through images and video, the digital platform had to feel cinematic, refined, and intimate—while still being easy to navigate and performant on all devices.

The website also needed to be multilingual, supporting both English and Serbian to address a wide international and domestic audience. This required careful planning of URL structure, translation integrity, and SEO optimization for both language versions.

Another key challenge was performance. Wedding portfolio websites are naturally heavy on media—high-resolution images, video embeds, sliders, and galleries. Ensuring fast load times and smooth transitions, especially on mobile devices, was critical to keeping visitors engaged.

Technologies

The Aleksandar Weddings website is built on WordPress with a hybrid approach combining a custom-developed theme and selective use of Elementor as a page builder. The core structure—including header, footer, and global templates—is custom-coded to ensure optimal performance, full control over branding, and maintainability.

For specific pages and sections such as the homepage, portfolio galleries, and landing pages, Elementor was integrated to provide flexible and intuitive content editing capabilities. This allows the client or content editors to easily update layouts, insert dynamic visual elements, and manage complex page structures without relying on developers for every change.

Multilingual functionality is powered by Polylang, enabling seamless content management and navigation in both English and Serbian. Polylang was configured to handle language-specific URLs, menus, metadata, and SEO attributes like hreflang tags, ensuring strong search engine visibility and a smooth user experience for visitors switching languages.

To optimize media-heavy content, the site uses modern image formats such as WebP, along with lazy loading techniques and video embedding optimizations to maintain fast page load times. Custom gallery scripts ensure aesthetic consistency across devices while minimizing resource use.

On the frontend, the theme employs semantic HTML5, modular SCSS styling, and performant JavaScript to deliver responsive, accessible, and smooth interactions on both desktop and mobile devices.
