HERINFUTUR was created to make the cultural heritage of the cross-border region more accessible to the young population of the South Bačka District and the Čongrad-Čanad County, as the target group of the project, and to better understand it.

Challenges

The main challenge of HERINFUTUR lies in bridging cultural and geographic divides while effectively reaching young people, who are often underserved by traditional heritage communication channels. Developing an engaging online platform that presents complex historical and cultural information in a relatable and user-friendly way was essential.

Additionally, given the cross-border nature of the project, the website needed to accommodate multilingual content and ensure smooth usability across different devices and networks, enhancing accessibility and engagement.

Technologies

The HERINFUTUR website is built on the WordPress content management system, which offers the flexibility and scalability needed for ongoing content updates and collaborative management. WordPress provides a solid foundation for creating rich content structures that showcase cultural heritage dynamically.

Elementor is used as the site’s page builder, enabling easy customization of layouts and interactive features without heavy coding, which allows project managers and content editors to adapt and enrich the website quickly based on evolving needs.

The choice of WordPress and Elementor ensures that the platform remains user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive across devices—key factors in attracting and retaining a younger audience.

The results

Although still developing, the HERINFUTUR digital platform has successfully started to connect young audiences with their shared cross-border heritage. The user-friendly design and accessible content encourage exploration and learning, supporting the project’s goal of cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

The use of WordPress and Elementor means the site can easily evolve, incorporating new materials, languages, and interactive elements as the project progresses, ensuring sustained engagement and relevance.
