Nikola Spasic Foundation
The website for the Zadužbina Nikole Spasića was conceived as a complete redesign of an outdated platform, with the goal of delivering a modern, accessible, and visually structured digital presence. Built on a custom WordPress foundation, the new site was developed based on Figma designs approved by the client, ensuring alignment with both aesthetic expectations and functional priorities. Particular attention was given to preserving and clearly presenting archival and institutional content, which was carefully migrated from the legacy site dating back to 2006. Interactive galleries, pop-up content modules, and intuitive navigation were implemented to highlight key materials and improve user experience. The result is a platform that elevates the organization’s credibility while meeting today’s standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
Challenges
One of the main challenges was modernizing an outdated website—originally launched in 2006—without compromising the institutional integrity and seriousness of the foundation. The goal was to migrate all content to a modern, clean platform while rethinking the way key information is structured, displayed, and accessed. Preserving the historical weight of the content while improving clarity, navigation, and user engagement required careful design thinking and planning.
